Poppins Musical Adventure is a medical device presented as a video game. The goal of the app is to help children with learning disorders overcome their difficulties through rhythm games and orthophonic exercises.
I have been a game artist on this project for more than three years, creating all the 3D characters and their customizations (used as in-game rewards) based on the art director’s concepts, as well as many 3D and 2D assets. I also contributed to the game design and production of the speech therapy games.
Our challenge each time was to create a variety of fun, music-based games or to gamify speech therapy exercises within a very short timeframe, while ensuring there were plenty of in-game rewards to keep the kids motivated and coming back for more!
